



A pitch to re-launch the Great Northern Brewing Co.’s to people from the “south”, by means of associating the beer with a “Sense of Adventure” and a 2 for 1 deal via various creative media.
The concept of the “Great North Adventure” was born, encapsulating the “big outdoors” with the established brand and capitalising on its existing heritage.
I then created the “Great Northern Marlin Catch” mobile game, to be used while “outdoors” or in the pub where offers can be redeemed. This game utilised the mercury switch on your device and when moved in a certain manner it cast the rod to catch marlin, the more you caught, the more beer offers your received. My KV was then taken through social media (Facebook page), beer mats, towels and various merchandising.
Various concepts for road and ooh media were presented these signs were strategically chosen and using Google geo-location depicting the distance you were actually away from the “Great Northern Adventure”. Another concept was that if the temperature rose to 30 degrees up north, the 2 for 1 offer would kick in “down south”. This utilised a built in temperature sensor that would trigger an alternative message on the sign.
